I joined Jessops in November 2015 as a Sales Assistant.I used my previous experience working at Canon and my comprehensive knowledge of all the different photography equipment brands and camera models. My initial responsibilities were:Sales of hardware (cameras, lenses, printers and various accessories)Print photo salesStock Management (audits, stock take and ordering products)Camera Repairs and Cleaning sensorsProcessing Transactions (purchases, refunds and exchanges)During this time, I was promoted to the AST (Academy Store Trainer). This was store based work with the academy side of the business. I was tasked with running the courses held at my store which were mostly 1-2-1 courses which consisted of taking the customer through the basics of their newly purchased equipment. The second course I would run was the Level One Course. This consisted of the basics of photography and exposure. I ran the course in groups and it would last six hours. I covered three core elements: shutter speed, aperture and ISO. I was also able to tailor the course to individual needs and interests.In 2016, I had the opportunity to go to The National Theatre in London and represent Jessops at a press event to showcase the Jessops product range at the time. The guests included press journalists, social media influencers as well as members of photographic communities.

After leaving university, I decided to pursue a career I knew I would enjoy based off my passion for Photography and experience in Sales. I applied for a Sales Representative position with Canon in September 2014 and started in November of 2014. My role included:Building a rapport with the shops I worked within and my customersTeaching and training the other staff and our customers the Canon product lineup and how each product is usedReports and admin including; Stock take, Sales reports and Competitor movement

Whilst at college, I started my first job at Blacks as a part time Sales Assistant. I had to make sure I had a strong knowledge of the brands Blacks sold as well as product knowledge so I could recommend customers the right solution for their needs.I carried out general Store Assistant duties including till work, stock takes and organizing/tidying the shop floor.
