Manage office of the Registrar; educate the public about voter registration and elections, maintain voter registration records for Nelson County; maintain records pertaining to voter registration and elections; work with other states and other localities in Virginia to ensure voters are registered where they are qualified to vote; assist the Electoral Board with elections; attend training provided by the Virginia Electoral Board Association, the Voter Registrars Association of Virginia, and the State Board of Elections; prepare annual fiscal year budget for the Registrar's Office and the Electoral Board.
