As part of the Darwin Plus project, I provide biosecurity and community engagement advice and support (remotely).•Rathlin Island, Northern Ireland. Rat and ferret eradication to aid seabird recovery (project development). I addressed community concern for project methodology, assisting to secure £4.5million from EU Life+ and National Lottery Heritage Fund.•Biosecurity Officer and Puffin Recovery Strategic Lead (project delivery). As part of the £1.3milion EU Life+ Biosecurity for LIFE project, I work with a team across the UK to carry out stakeholder engagement to implement robust biosecurity measures across the 42 Special Protection Areas (SPA’s).

Project manager a five year project successfully removing rats from St Agnes and Gugh, IOS, UK. This was the first project in the world to successfully eradicate rodents from an inhabited island benefiting wildlife and residents. Manx shearwaters and storm petrels successfully bred for the first time in living memory. I managed and assisted to deliver all all technical aspects of the projects including eradication, social acceptability and ecological monitoring.
