Extensive experience in the creation and development of 3D models and organoids from primary cells and iPSCs, primarily working with skeletal muscle and associated cell types. I have worked for 7 years at the interface of complex biological models and hardware technologies gaining an understanding of what is required to translate academic systems into commercial products. My scientific training (MSc, PhD and Post-Doc) has given me a firm grounding in the scientific method, data processing, statistical modeling and communication of complex biological data. My current interest centers on the development of new in vitro models for intractable diseases to reduce reliance on animal models and improve translatability of pre-clinical discovery data.
