• Designed high tolerance mechanical stages for 10-6 torr vacuum in a vacuum process tool for high volume production
• Created tooling to calibrate the relative positions of stages within the process tool with repeatability of at least 3 microns to determine machine states
• Designed and tested a fluid dispense system incorporating a precision syringe, custom fluid tank with temperature and volume sensors, and plumed with pneumatic lines
• Characterized the volume dispensed by numerous parameters to achieve a 60 microliter dispense with +/- 1 microliter repeatability; providing vital validation of the precise dispense requirements for the processes’.
• Performed stiffness calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) for the tool’s baseplate and interfacing components to ensure operational load deflections remained under 5 microns and were suitable for reliable.
