Wilfrid Laurier's Taste of Asia (WLU TOA) is a student-run organization that strives to connect the students of Wilfrid Laurier University through a shared appreciation of Asian cultures and traditions. WLU TOA aims to create a welcoming and supportive space for students to learn and experience new cultures and cuisines, while having the opportunity to find other students who share the same interests through events both on and off-campus. We welcome students of all nationalities and backgrounds and hope to represent a place where students who live away from home can experience and share their ethnic cultures with those around them. - Led and directed an Executive Team of 20 members while fostering a strong social connection within the team that helped in creating a supportive and caring environment at club events and socials- Facilitated effective management of WLU TOA through mindful delegation of responsibilities relating to the club's internal and external operations- Played a significant role in the planning and execution of the second annual Tour Around Asia Night Market by overseeing the operations of different departments

- Led the club's Operations team alongside my Co-Vice President to plan and execute club events - Assisted the club in building external relations with local Asian restaurants through consistent outreach- Took part in organizing the first ever Tour Around Asia Night Market: WLU TOA's annual flagship event with over 400 attendees

Assisted in the operation of weekly/biweekly lab sessions by providing support and guidance for mathematics students in the following courses:- Introduction to Functions and Differential Calculus (MA102)- Introductory Calculus for Business and Social Sciences (MA129)- Calculus II (MA104)- Introduction to Probability and Statistics for Science (ST230)Additional responsibilities involved with this role include grading lab work, attending weekly meetings to coordinate lab contents and instructions, and being available to students outside of labs to answer questions regarding course and lab content.

During the 2023 year-end tax season, I worked alongside a supportive team to assist in tax reorganizations and compliance tax. Some of my highlights from this co-op term include the following:- Presented a portion of the 2024 Regional Tax Update, providing informative guidance on new updates in compliance tax during a region-wide meeting- Took initiative in understanding the concept of a "bare trust" to assist as a designated preparer during T3 Trust Reporting season, in the face of the CRA's new reporting guidelines- Supported my seniors in complex estate and shareholder tax planning while picking up important concepts in taxation
