About Jacqueline Young

How does a PR major land her career at a Safety company? It makes more sense than you'd think!With a background in Public Relations I have found myself working with all different types of people, from baseball players and mascots to brides and event planners. No matter what the event, I have always understood how important pre-planning and organization can be so the actual event is stress free. I never would have guessed my college job as a Building Supervisor at the Student Activity Center would become such an important part of my "real job(s)". Facility Management and Safety & Health have become major areas of my career, which I experienced early through job tasks such as securing the building, managing staff, and knowing how to react in medical emergencies.I was excited to reconnect with my "IPR roots" in 2011 as a finalist for an on-air personality position called ‘The Next Face of 4’ on WOTV. I truly learned what it meant to think on the spot, find the best way to get information across to an audience, and be able to laugh at yourself and try again.
