Resident Assistant
CurrentWorking primarily with U.S. military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and mild traumatic brain injury (TBI).Duties include aiding the rehabilitation team through the implementation of patient treatment plans with focus on community re-entry, routine life skill activities and meeting behavioral needs of patients.Supervises clients in the residence, and at times, during outings.Assists other team members or independently performs lifts, transports, transfers, wheelchair mobility and weight shifts.Supervises or assists patients/clients/residents with activities of daily living.Completes vitals signs, Accuchecks and supervises client self administration of medications, as well as any other duties assigned.Maintains any client equipment utilized within the residence.Performs general cleaning duties as assigned.Assists with the planning, preparation, set-up, and gathering for group outings.
