I am a first-year student at Indiana University O'Neill School, majoring in Healthcare Management and Policy with in minor in Public Finacial Management. I have a passion for leadership development, collaborating with others, and making a difference in my community. I have demonstrated these strengths in a variety of positions, beginning with my experiences in high school. During my senior year, I worked two jobs, both in trainer roles, while also interning for Kid Fit. These roles gave me the opportunity to demonstrate strong customer service, lead and mentor employees, and develop excellent communication skills across various responsibilities. Now at Indiana University, I continue to find new ways to enhance both my professional and personal leadership. I am expanding my career knowledge by actively engaging in student organizations on campus. As a member of Hoosier Health Advocates, I work to improve both local and global health. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare, regardless of background or circumstance. Additionally, I enjoy working year-round to combat health disparities within our community, supporting partner organizations, and promoting local health initiatives. Currently, we are planning to open a free clinic in Bloomington, IN, which will provide crucial services to underserved populations.I aspire to further my involvement by participating in a summer abroad program to gain international perspective on healthcare. I also plan to take on more active roles within the O'Neill School. By continuing to hone my strengths in communication, problem-solving, and leadership, I am preparing for future opportunities, including a consulting internship. Ultimately, I am seeking ways to broaden my knowledge, gain practical hands-on experience, and collaborate with professionals who share my passion for improving healthcare systems. My goal is to contribute to making healthcare more effective, efficient, and accessible to all. Through my involvement, I hope to inspire change and play a part in creating a more equitable healthcare environment for future generations.
