I am a driven, well-educated young woman who aspires to join the healthcare field as a Physician Assistant, with emphasis in Pediatrics. Children are my passion! My background in healthcare and the knowledge thereof has proven to be quite vast. I graduated from the School of Health Professions at Townview Magnet Center in 2015, where I was a part of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) amongst other organizations. Most of my health care knowledge and background stem from my experiences and courses there. I’ve known I wanted to be a Pediatric Physician Assistant since I was a sophomore in high school. I have received my Associates of Science from Mountain View College while working as a Cryotherapy Specialist, and in my free time I work as a seasonal camp counselor for the Duncanville Recreation Center. I love the children there and I believe it is very important to realize how impactful the relationships established with children affect their course in life. I started off working with children in children's church when I was 14. I do not take the opportunity lightly. It is more so a privilege to be able to play a part in molding such bright minds. Whether I meet them through my jobs or otherwise, I like to think that every opportunity should be used to its fullest to create a positive experience for a child. I dream of doing that for my patients in the future. I currently attend the University of North Texas in Denton where I major in biology and minor in chemistry under their Physician Assistant program. I am apart of organizations such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Women of Gold, Pre-PA club, and National Honors Society. I have been on the Dean’s list at every university I’ve attended. I truly do value my grades and my overall education for I know my future rests in the balances of them. The sum of my work experiences between Health and Wellness centers and children are seemingly keeping me on track with my career goals and aspirations.
