Providing feedback and amendments to garments.Duties in my role included but were not limited to:- Developing ranges for the Very Own Brand Men’s and Children’sdepartment.- Brief suppliers and arrange meetings with suppliers.- Oversee all design developments for the brand.- Report on trends in the High Street and Online competitors.- Negotiating and hitting set BIMs.- Working closely with both Design and QA teams to ensure ‘fit’procedures and approval processes are achieved according topolicies and best practice standards.- Maintenance of critical path, chasing all approvals andsubmissions from supplier base to ensure the team can meetlaunch deadlines.- Feedback given on all submissions of lab dips, bulk fabrics andtrims.- Building key relationships with other departments across thebusiness to ensure effective communication, to ensure the valuesof the company are met.- Working alongside Marketing and the Visual Merchandise teamsto nominate products that are seasonally relevant for campaigns,social media and blogging events. This involved looking after 43 separate suppliesworldwide.- Identifying web issues, this can range from web imagery issues toweb pricing, ensuring by resolving these issues in a timelymanner that the customer receives the best online customerexperience.- Keeping the range boards and folders to up‐to‐date, giving fullvisibility of the range, being fully prepared for sign off of ranges,and visually looking at the range as a whole.- Responsible for chasing and logging all prototype samplesworking towards the critical path deadline, to ensure the productis developed and ready for launch.- Responsible for photographic sample management, briefingsuppliers, chasing up samples, ensuring they are sent to thephotography department for web images; this includes briefingthe Visual Merchandise Gallery team the styling comments andattending shoots.- Supporting the Sourcing Manager, with any queries the suppliermay have on packaging and labelling.- Liaise with Marketing and eCommerce teams to develop andmaintain professional working relationships to ensure sales aremaximized through the site and in‐line with overall strategy.- Provide weekly trade updates on the best and worst product sales(units and cash) for the V by Very brand.
