Collection Management: Oversee the acquisition, cataloging, documentation, and conservation of objects within the collection; Develop and implement policies and procedures for the care, storage, and display of artifacts, ensuring their preservation and longevity; Conduct regular inventory checks and update collection records to maintain accuracy.Curatorial Duties: Conduct thorough research on collection items, artists, or historical subjects to enhance understanding and contextualize exhibitions; Plan and curate exhibitions, selecting relevant items and arranging them in a visually compelling and educational manner; Write informative and engaging exhibition texts, labels, and catalogs to accompany displays and educate visitors.Collaboration and Networking: Collaborate with artists, historians, scholars, and other professionals to develop new exhibitions, projects, or educational programs; Establish and maintain relationships with collectors, donors, and other institutions for potential loans, acquisitions, or collaborations; Participate in conferences, seminars, or professional organizations to stay updated on current trends and best practices in the field.Education and Public Outreach: Develop and deliver educational programs, guided tours, lectures, and workshops for diverse audiences, including students, professionals, and the general public; Engage with visitors, answering questions, providing information, and fostering a welcoming and informative environment; Contribute to the creation of digital content, online exhibitions, or virtual tours to expand the institution's reach and accessibility.
