In my former yearlong position as a Vascular Research & Design Co-op at Cook Research Incorporated, I was part of the Aortic Intervention Team that develops minimally invasive alternatives for the treatment of aortic aneurysms and dissections. I contributed to the design and nonclinical testing of next generation devices.I am also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in the Purdue University Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, where I have been awarded Dean's List and Semester Honors for three consecutive years. I am currently involved in a research project that uses histology and 4D-ultrasound analysis to investigate hypertension-pregancy related left ventricular strain, and I previously was involved in a project that analyzed ultrasound-based quantifications of intervertebral disc strain under dynamic loading through digital image correlation and machine learning techniques. I co-authored an abstract that was presented at the 2023 Biomedical Engineering Society Annual Meeting.I am motivated by the opportunity to apply my engineering knowledge and critical thinking skills to solve real-world medical problems and improve the quality of life for patients. I value collaboration, feedback, and communication, and I thrive in environments where I can learn from and work with diverse and talented teams. My goal is to continue developing my knowledge in pathophysiology, biomechanics, and bioinstrumentation to pursue a career in the medical device industry.
