Being a Bar Lead entailed managing the bar/table service during hours of operation. Tasks assigned to this position include book-keeping/tipping out, determining cuts and nightly roles for employees, and managing any out-of-the-ordinary situations such as escalations, safety concerns, and facility issues. Program Director of Walk-A-Mile, a Program geared towards empathy education towards the refugee/migrant experience. Through this program, I researched and wrote trauma-informed curriculum for groups ranging from Elementary Students to Adults, regarding migration patterns, international asylum laws, and the historical background of migrant diasporas in the city of Louisville. We hosted simulations at JCPS schools, colleges around the country, and even publicly at Waterfront Park. My role covered everything from community outreach to research and curriculum design, and even as far as direct volunteer management.
