I am a technologist. I've spent my career in nearly every aspect of the Web, from development to leadership. I need to create value, be innovative, work with fantastic people, and support an organization whose mission I believe in.As a manager and organizational leader, I've been happiest when working closely with talented people and supporting them to be successful. I recognize that personal achievement is less important than fostering a performant and healthy team. I have years of experience leading both large (20-24 members, Oracle) and small teams (2-7 members, Montana State University).As a developer, I love to dive deeply into a technology stack to achieve strategic goals. I am fascinated by technical challenges and building robust, scalable solutions to solve them. My work with Cascadin began with exploring a new tech stack (Vue.js, Node.js), and it continues with building and deploying a scalable SaaS product in the cloud.As an entrepreneur, I've enjoyed the independence that comes with working for yourself. This is balanced by being accountable for each decision made along the way. But therein lies the reward of following your passions. At Cascadin, I've had the privilege of being in the startup world and developing an understanding of its many challenges and opportunities.As a human, the values of accessibility, diversity, equity, and inclusion are paramount to me. They make products, organizations, and communities better. Every decision we make in technology needs to be through a lens of whether it is ethical and moral, and if so, in what ways could it still cause harm.My professional journey increasingly brings clarity to my passions and desires.
