From August until December I worked with Solar Rights Alliance, organizing a diverse coalition of business and environmental groups to reform local permitting laws in Antelope Valley, California to make rooftop solar more accessible and affordable. From January until April I worked with Don’t Cage Our Oceans, building a national coalition and holding rallies and events across southern California to prevent corporate aquaculture from coming to federal waters. From April until August I worked with Environment Oregon and OSPIRG, directing a canvass office to raise money and collect campaign product for two campaign. One was to protect mature and old-growth trees in Oregon by convincing the B.L.M. and Forest Service to enact an administrative rule to stop old-growth deforestation on federal land and the other was to pass the Right to Repair Act statewide.
