Couto Solutions is a consulting company that build products for the Telligent Social Networking platform and implement custom sites for our customers. At Couto Solutions I have been tasked with many things. From setting up our TFS Continuious Integration (CI) system, automating our builds and deployments, designing and implementing our products, working with the team to implement products and custom sites. I was given the wonderful opportunity to intern at Microsoft for the summer. I met great people and made friends for life. Specifically I was lucky enough to get to work with the Windows Identity Foundation Protocols team. My task was to design, implement and test our integration with ASP.NET MVC. That was of course after writing a basic ASP.NET web server for our functional tests as a ramp up to WIF. After completing my tasks I went on to help our team make their commitments. I now am an avid evangelist for WIF (and all things .net/microsoft really.) I gave a talk this January at out local .Net User Group.

LoopNet.com is the largest commercial real-estate site on the web. They also have many ancillary companies such as BizBuySell.com. While at LoopNet i worked heavily in ASP.NET. I helped design and implement many things with the team. Some of which are (in approximate chronological order): LoopLinks (the co-branding product), the help page, the new profile, the broker profile... and many more. Working at LoopNet with the sheer volume of customers and clients gave me a unique insight into designing websites and products for the end user (who often aren't developers, something that was tough to learn.) Along with ASP.NET I got to work with ASP.NET MVC, Sql Server (2000-2008), JavaScript, HTML, Workflow, MSMQ, Windows Services, Powershell, and MSBuild. LoopNet is an old company and because of that had some very old code. This forced me to learn and (more importantly) think about dealing with legacy code.

San Luis Technology Consultants was a small consulting startup. I started when they opened the doors. We worked with ASP.NET Webforms and had many customers. One of which was LoopNet & BizBuySell. We started the initial conversion of BizBuySell from Linux to Windows. I am quite familiar with Linux because of this (and that fact that I use it in school.)
