• Performed daily quality control assessments on aluminium ingots, including analyzing batch information and inspecting ingot slices for abnormalities in the macro/micro-structure through etching with caustic soda.• Managed vital testing equipment necessary in determining purity of molten aluminium.• Surveyed a series of finished ingots to determine the accuracy of the moulding process and suggested possible solutions for any irregularities. The results of this survey were presented in a technical report that also provided recommendations for maintaining standard conformance.
