PAAWNS (Protected Anti-Scintillation Anti-Jam Wideband Net-centric System), $30M: Development of an anti-scintillation, anti-jam frequency hopping modem to provide protected transport over WGS for the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA’s) Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Chief Systems Engineer• Successfully held Technical Baseline Review, System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, and associated peer reviews. Test Readiness Review is to be held within the next two months. • Responsible for risk management process. Project Engineer/Deputy Program Manager• Responsible for managing the Type 1 NSA certification process of a crypto that Harris developed. • Responsible for planning and execution of ARSTART MILSATCOM modem certification, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) recommendation, STRATCOM certification, and DIACAP activities.• Responsible for managing hardware and human resources required to execute on cost and schedule.Advanced Program Engineer (APE)/ Business Development Manager (BDM)• Generated white papers, MILCOM papers, RFI responses and proposal inputs aimed at selling this product to users other than the MDA.• Responsible for product strategy including conducting market analysis to identify addressable market, features, functions, benefits, product roadmap, and investment strategy. • Coordinate with MDA, Navy PMW 170, OPNAV, PACFLT, SPP, DISA, AFWET, CYBERCOM, DTRA, NSA, OSD AT&L, OSD CIO, SMC/MCX, CERDEC, JSEC, JHU/APL, Aerospace and Mitre on a regular basis.
