Co-op position at Thurber Engineering as a geotechnical technician. Acted as quality control and quality assurance materials tester at a variety of construction sites. Primarily tested soil, with a nuclear densometer, and concrete (air content, slump, cylinders). Performed many lab tests on different soil samples (Proctors, Atterberg limits, etc.). Drove a fleet vehicle on a daily basis around Calgary and the surrounding regions.Returned for a second work term in the summer of 2018, and for a third term in summer 2019.

Cut grass, mainly on the greens, daily in a quick and organized fashion. Worked on various landscaping and maintenance projects around the golf course. Raked sand bunkers efficiently while collaborating with coworkers.

Ran a cash register while scanning and bagging items in an efficient manner. I checked for damaged goods and handled cash and machine transactions. I cashed out in closing shifts, and kept my area clear of baskets and garbage. As a service clerk, I would bag customers' groceries, bring them to their vehicles, collect carts and baskets, and any other miscellaneous front end duties.
