Jim Haggerty is one of the founding partners of Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith, a firm dedicated to the handling of complex civil litigation, personal injury, coverage and bad faith matters on behalf of injured victims. He graduated from Georgetown University (Magna Cum Laude; Phi Beta Kappa) and Villanova University School of Law. He has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer being named one of the Top 10 Lawyers in the State in 2007, and among the Top 100 in 2006 through 2011. Jim has consistently been recognized as one of the top litigators in Pennsylvania from 1979-2012, he represented many major insurance companies in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States. In 2012, along with Chuck Schleifer and Terry Goldberg, he founded HGSK Lawyers, a firm dedicated to representing injured victims in personal injury and bad faith matters.Jim Haggerty spent the first 32 years of his career as a litigator for the insurance industry. He was the “Go To Guy” for insurance companies in difficult motor vehicle, insurance and coverage issues. In fact for over 20 years he served as Chairman of the Motor Vehicle Law Committee of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, the statewide organization of defense attorneys and insurance executives. In that capacity, he was involved in many of the ground breaking motor vehicle law cases decided by the Courts.
