Collaborated in a team of up to a dozen to build and maintain a high performance computing digital signal/image processor for a mission critical government program. Integrated both in-house and third-party prototype algorithms in various languages into the production baseline. This would entail increasing algorithm robustness, parallelizing the algorithm, ensuring proper memory management, formatting the final products, and updating external interfaces to allow external tasking.Lead refactoring and modernization of the production baseline by converting the codebase from C/Fortran 77 to C++ and modularizing components. This effort lead to a significant reduction in code size, increased reusability, and allowed for the baseline to be leveraged for several additional projects.Ported the baseline for production level processing from AIX/Power to various systems including RHEL/SLES/Solaris on architectures including x86/SPARC/Itanium.Interacted with the customers during requirements gathering, by presenting at design reviews, and during on-site installation and troubleshooting.Performed full cycle development through requirements analysis, cost estimation, sprint planning, development, integration and testing for multiple projects through multiple cycles.
