'A jack of all trades is the master of none...’ People tend to view this phrase with a negative connotation because the second half is often forgotten, which states,‘…but oftentimes better than a master of one’. The entire phrase, as originally intended, is a compliment describing a person as a generalist, adept and versatile at many things. I can’t think of a better way to describe the results-driven, business and restaurant professional that I am. As a Restauranteur with a 30+ year track record of successfully developing, mentoring, and directing teams to achieve sales and profitability goals, I’ve had to fill numerous roles and hone the skill sets allowing me to grow and be successful as an Owner, Consultant, Co-Founder and Multi-Unit Operator in our industry.In this fast-paced industry, wearing multiple hats and being adept at the details necessary to serving delicious food, negotiating leases, building strong teams and community relationships, has been key to my success. It's a dynamic field, and it's the versatility that truly drives growth. Here's to celebrating the all-rounders who keep our industry vibrant and evolving.
