I am an experienced Chief Executive a ‘big-picture’ strategic thinker, able to think outside the box and invent lateral solutions in a wide range of contexts. I have 15 years of experience on a wide variety of leadership teams, Execs and boards of Directors. I am passionate about good causes, grass-roots community development and building bridges across cultural boundaries.Initially I worked for 15 years as an Engineer and latterly as a Business Analyst and Project Manager in the Public Utilities Sector working for British Gas/Lattice Group/Transco/National Grid. This included Business Modelling and the Development of New Businesses in Emerging Markets. My responsibilities included the co-management of multi-million pound IT projects (SAP Utilities.) I gained my 1st Bachelors (Hons) degree in Business in 2001.In 2005 I retrained in Intercultural Studies, and gained my 2nd Bachelors degree (with Hons) in 2007. Since then I have worked in partnership with several local Third Sector organisations including the Balsall Heath Forum and Riverside Church as a Community Development Worker based in a richly multicultural neighbourhood in South Birmingham. From July 2016- January 2018 I was the Interim Centre Manager at St Johns in Alum Rock- overseeing an exciting new project providing a place for people of all faiths & none to meet together and learn from each other.I am a trained mentor and I have spent significant time in supporting a number of mentees from disadvantaged backgrounds.
