Responsible for maintaining and Fault finding and rectification of Motorway and Trunk Road Technology Systems and equipment such as CCTV, MIDAS, Signals, Message Signs and Emergency Telephones. Ensuring relevant maintenance data is recorded and kept up to date on the Highways Agency TPMS system. Carrying out Electrical Tests on Mains Electrical cabling such as Earth fault Loop Impedance, Continuity, Insulation Resistance and that readings comply with BS7671 legislation. As a lead engineer, I am responsible for a part of the North West Techmac Motorway Network, ensuring Engineers and Technician's work in the area is up to specification with Highways Agency standards and that faulty equipment is only left faulty for the minimum time necessary, ensuring the relevant parts needed are ordered through the HA stores system.I am responsible for the booking of Traffic Management when needed to complete maintenance and fault activities, mainly for work in the central reservation; liaising with other contracts and companies to save on TM costs and also booking Traffic Management with the TM contractor.
