Acting to continuously improve the occupational safety, health and the environmental impact of site activities on all staff, contractors and other stakeholder. Ensuring the on going site accreditation with ISO 9001, OSHA 18001, ISO 14001 and assisting with ISO 50001 accreditation to drive improvements in all these aspect in day to day tasks. Where required along with Site Leaders and other key staff, I maintain interactions and correspondents to regulatory authorities, including COMAH Intervention Visits. Using leading and lagging indicators to identify trends and focus cultural change though dedicated champions undertaking behavioural safety observations. Providing independent review on planned high risk activities that may be new or novel and escalate to other SME's when required.

To provide cover for out of hours emergency situation within the borough, as prescribed in the Civil Contingencies Act.

Offering a range of health and safety legislative compliance advice to all service provisions, delivered across the Councils operations. Working across a range of levels of management to achieve a safe and healthy environment for all staff and local residents.

Utilising previous business skills and qualifications to deliver a number of contracts to SME’s and organisations.1 Project management - working from project specifications identifying required resources, developing work program’s and schedules, to within specified deadlines and tight financial budgets. 2 Health and Safety assessments - Undertake risk assessments and evaluations of historical documentation to recognized legal, industrial and best practice standards. 3 Fund writing - Developing research to support funding bids to help SME's apply to local government programs such as Skills for Economic Growth. 4 Leadership - working to provide enrichment activities to a number of schools developing interpersonal and communication skills. Supporting outdoor activities in various locations across the UK.

This position involved working with all aspects of the community to deliver environmental project within the county of Essex.Making connections with business, govenment organisations, councils and communities was a day to day task.This work developed into engaging with disaffected parts of thr community including NEET individuals as well as indiviuals with other social and emotional issues

I was responcible for the management of conservation and wildlife over the 220ha site. This also requred areas for student pratical sessions and the demonstration of counrtyside skills e.g. hand tool operations, mechanical tool use.The position included managing Health and Safety, budget and financial planning, personnel managment along with instructional skills, which made this a multiskill role
