As a Principal Consultant for Promar International my primary role involved delivery of bespoke technical, financial and business advice to dairy businesses in the North West of England, aiming to deliver individual client objectives. My role involves all areas of farm management with particular focus upon herd management & nutrition, grassland and forage management, financial budgeting and business restructuring.I frequently have a leading role in business troubleshooting, implementing business expansion, business restructuring and renewable energy projects.I had the responsibility of running the Dairy Management Academy. This is an industry first where I run a two year training programme focusing upon herd technical performance and farm business management aimed at future dairy herd managers.I have been involved with national and regional projects such as Catchment Sensitive Farming, Livestock Northwest, Farming Forestry Improvement Scheme, Farmer Advice & Training Initiative.During this role I have developed an extensive network of industry professionals and related agricultural services.I am responsible for delivering consultancy to 40 farm businesses at any given time, maintaining a client base and building future business within the area. Furthermore I am charged with mentoring and training new employees within Promar International.I have developed in depth knowledge and experience in Dairy, Beef, Sheep and Arable and Forage production, Environmental projects and Renewable Energy.
