I have recently graduated from the University of Manchester with a merit in Molecular and Medical Virology (MSc). Whilst completing my research project for the master’s degree, I was able to focus on genetics, one of my areas of interest, looking into the efficacy of different whole genome sequencing methods. In my career so far, I have gained three years of laboratory experience working in molecular biology and biochemistry. Lab skills developed include sequencing techniques, PCR and HPLC. I particularly enjoyed having the opportunity to improve the testing procedures utilizing PPI techniques during my time at Thermofisher.Currently, I am looking for a lab-based role in the Biotech industry.
