I am a Civil Engineer working for Ediom and have over 5 years of experience working on major infrastructure projects. I am currently working on the Waurn Ponds duplication project as Engineering and Temporary Works Coordinator.Previously in the UK I have worked on High Speed 2 rail as a Section Engineer, constructing one of the tunnels Ancillary Shafts. Before this I worked at the Thames Tideway East main drive site, Chambers Wharf, as a site engineer where I gained experience in managing interfaces between contractors, managing quality processes, controlling budgets as well as experience in a range of civil engineering processes.Prior to this I completed two summer placements as well as an industrial placement year with Costain PLC as a sponsored student whilst studying at Surrey University. During these placements I worked on the M1J32 - 35a smart motorway scheme and Bond Street Station Upgrade projects.I graduated from Surrey University with a 1st class honours in Civil Engineering MEng in July 2017 and received the Atkins Prize for my dissertation project entitled: 'The design and assessment of a wastewater treatment plant for agricultural wastewater reuse: A case study India'. This prize is awarded for projects contributing most to the Civil Engineering profession.I am currently working towards Chartered Engineering Status and am a Graduate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

My responsibilities include:• Managing the works leading up to and including the construction of a 25m diameter Ancillary Shaft.• Developing 6-week look ahead programmes and reporting on actual productivity being achieved.• Managing and co ordinating the activities of the site engineers within the Ancillary Shaft section ofworks, ensuring works are performed in line with the requirements of the construction programme.• Ensuring all Health, Safety and Quality documentation is in place in a timely manner.• Preparing cost forecasts and reporting on monthly spending.• Developing temporary works design briefs and engaging in the design process to ensure lean andbuildable solutions as the sites Temporary Works Supervisor.• Line managing a team of 4 Site Engineers and supporting them in their training and progression.

A 6 month Design Secondment as a Geotechnical Engineer with Arup whilst working on the High Speed Two S1 and S2 Main Works project. My responsibilities included the following:• Using Plaxis 2D finite element software to analyze and design geotechnical structures.• Designing secant piled retaining walls in accordance with CIRIA C760 guidance and Eurocode 7.• Liaising with the construction team to ensure the designs are practicable.• Using Python scripts to export design results into Power BI to present and compare them.
Hs2 Main Works - S1 & S2
I worked as a Technical Interface Engineer whilst on the High Speed Two S1 and S2 Main Works project where I had the following responsibilities:- Managing the interface between the Enabling Works Contractor (EWC) and Main Works Contractor- Representing the project at weekly interface meetings and ensuring relationships with the client and the enabling works contractor are developed and maintained in order to support the effective progression and close out of the interfaces- Facilitate the identication of interfaces and communicate issues and risks that will impact project delivery and identify mitigation measures- Own the Technical Interface Register for the EWC interfaces and ensure that all EWC interfaces are identied, tracked and closed out in line with the project programme- Collaborately produce a schedule of the Enabling Work Contractors scope that is aligned to our estimate and programme and acts as a baseline for future change management
Thames Tideway - East Section
During my first year from graduation I worked on the Chambers Wharf Thames Tideway East site within the construction team. My role was primarily a site engineer and had the following responsibilities:- Planning, budgeting and executing packages of civil works- Manage project quality assurance and quality control through the writing and completion of ITP’s on site- Ensuring the health and safety of employees through the writing and reviewing of method statements and risk assessments and enforcing them on site- Managing on site resources and procurement of materials- Managing interfaces between different contractors and works on site- Monitoring, recording and reporting of site progress to the Section and Senior Engineers- Appointed temporary works supervisor carrying out weekly inspections and maintaining temporary works records
Bond Street Station Upgrade
Over my summer placement at Bond Street Station upgrade I had the following responsibilities:- Hold meetings with London Underground's Operational task manager to discuss upcoming works and any operational issues/ risks- Planned and executed a number of fit out works such as installation of steelwork, screeding, blockwork, waterproofing and tiling- Planning of platform finishes reinstatement works where new tunnel openings have been formed- Writing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments- Enforcing health and safety practices on site through SHE inspections, attending daily start of shift briefings and take 5 procedures at the work face- Monitoring on site progress through implementing and updating a key performance indicator spreadsheet (KPI) for tracking the installation of cable management systems
Bond Street Station Upgrade
Over my industrial placement year at Bond Street Station upgrade I had the following responsibilities:- Sub contract managed a number of the Station's teams contractors- Planning track closures/ possessions- Hold meetings with London Underground's Operational task manager to discuss upcoming works and any operational issues/ risks- Plan and execute a number of works from writing a scope through to closing out ITP's- Writing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments- Enforcing health and safety practices on site through SHE inspections- Working nightshifts as the on site engineer to help with any on site issues and ensure sub contractors are following their method statements and risk assessments

– Use of a GNSS/GPS System to set out points from a datum– Taking concrete samples and making test cubes to the correct standards – Monitoring health and safety on site– Recording daily events on a detailed site diary
