I have been given the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience in power and natural gas markets in the southeast. That experience has included discovering market participants, negotiating enabling agreements with those participants, negotiating power purchase agreements, managing those contracts, modeling and analysis, project management, developing and executing optimization strategies for a 1250 mw combined cycle facility in Georgia, trading in the daily and forward power and natural gas markets, trading both financial and physical natural gas and scheduling physical natural gas on Transco, Sonat, and East Tennessee.

On a real-time basis, I was responsible for optimizing, scheduling and dispatching approximately 4000mw of generation, 1400mw of firm load and 300mw of load resource as well as capturing market opportunities based on real-time analysis of market conditions.

At Dashiell I worked in the engineering department on turnkey projects for medium and high voltage electrical systems. I also developed and implemented a mentor program for newly hired engineers.

As a summer intern, I was given the opportunity to assemble and test hardware in a lab environment. Also, I was able to develop and implement code in assembly language for an Intel 8051 microprocessor while researching faults in a major product line.
