Understanding customers needs and wants, as well as de-escalation, are valuable skills I acquired during this time. Although I have always considered myself to be a tech savvy individual, advanced troubleshooting of Internet, Satellite TV, and Phone systems greatly increased my already above-par skill set. Understanding WHY something is happening, in my opinion, is vital to understanding how to fix it. Having one plan in a business setting is a recipe for disaster, and the phrase, "We've always done it that way." makes me cringe. In my 7 years at Fedex Ground, 5 of those years were as an Operations Manager. I made a name for myself with my ability to work well under pressure, and adapt to changing circumstances without missing a beat. Being able to multi-task and manage time are the qualities that I believe set me apart from the pack. I prefer to lead by example and be a hands-on teacher, as opposed to barking orders from a desk. I will never ask an associate to do something I cannot do myself.Customer service is something I am very passionate about. Being able to connect with a client, customer or colleague on a personal level is, in my opinion, what can make or break a successful business relationship.
