As the FirstTracks web development team has continued to grow, I havetransitioned from a developer role into a management position, overseeingthe work of the development team. This includes training employees,managing projects, interacting with the clients, reviewing the work beingcompleted, and integrating our work with online marketing goals to make ourclients successful. With the efforts of myself and my team, we recently wereawarded the status of WooExpert by WooThemes, which makes us only one ofseveral agencies listed worldwide as experts in the WordPress andWooCommerce platforms.

During the first five years of FirstTracks, I built up the website design anddevelopment side of their business, working with many clients big and smallto develop their online presence. Responsibilities primarily includeddeveloping websites based off design specs, and complete the programming tomake the sites functional. Many of the clients’ websites were eCommerce andmembership sites built on the WordPress platform. Online marketing tasksincluded setting up various campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics,AdWords, RavenTools, MailChimp, AWeber, HootSuite, SEOmoz, YouTube,and others.

As a solopreneur web developer, I provide expertise in the following areas: Website Design, CSS/XHTML, Wordpress, e-Commerce, SEO, PHP / MySQL, Branding and Identity, Social Media Marketing, Content Management Systems, Domains/Email/Hosting, Blogs, and Graphic Design.

I work part time in the technology department of Mt. Sunapee, a local ski resort. My job is to architect and implement a system to maintain all the data at the resort (customers, sales, promotions, etc). This would include designing and maintaining the database and programming the interface for employees to interact with this data, and also creating reports to present the data in a useful way.

Worked on various teams to design and develop custom software for large corporations. My emphasis was on user interface and functionality, and I designed and implemented databases and back-ends. Also created curriculum and provided training in various technologies to corporate information technology departments. Most of the development and training I performed at this company was with open-source software and tools. My clients included Adelphia, Comcast, Honda Automotive, the Department of Environmental Protection, and the School District of Philadelphia.
