Responsible for all I.T. operations; including vision, strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, systems design and development, infrastructure, support, contracting and vendor management.Delivered I.T. services, that served over 4,000 employees located at ten mining locations and four administrative offices located throughout North America. Managed annual IT operating budgets of up to $20M, capital budgets ranging from $10-30M and over 150 internal staff, outsourced operations and consulting professionals from organizations like Accenture, Ernst & Young and KPMG. Redeployed many operations to outsourced partners that resulted in reducing the operating budget by 60% while substantially improving service levels.Successfully delivered projects of up to $24M on time and on budget, including one that lasted up 24 months and was staffed by over 100 individuals.
