Engineering Design- Applying best practice design thinking to innovate solutions for emergency medical services. - Engaging the wealth of production knowledge in composite technology and CNC machining on the shop floor to conceptualise product that is functional and fit for purpose. - Utilising the full Seimens NX/Teamcenter PLM suite to generate a complete 3D data package that is production-ready first time. - Applying the Creaform VX Element 3D scanning platform to reverse engineer rotorcraft interior landscapes and allow for speedy design and fitment checks. Airworthiness & Certification- Generating documentation to certify equipment for rotorcraft installation in accordance with CASA regulations and particularly JAR 29 Amendment 3. - Using Seimens NX advanced simulation to complete structural analysis and produce strength reports showing compliance against JAR 29 Subpart C.- Supporting senior certification engineers with preparing submissions for Supplemental Type Certificates and CASR 21M approvals.

Warranty & Cost Recovery: - Assisting my manager to initiate and implement a cost recovery process with our supplier base. This requires the breakdown of all warranty data into an interpretable format that summarises cost estimates to then issue to suppliers for negotiation.- Working with warranty engineers and suppliers to manage the quality of current vehicles through root cause investigation and corrective actions implementation. Specifically, focused on the progression and relevant time metrics of this process in order to receive break pointed parts at General Motors facilities in a timely manner. Supplier Quality:- Ensuring future production parts from a number of assigned suppliers meet General Motors standards and validation in regards to part and process quality, production numbers and timing. Vendor Tooling Asset Management (VTAM):- Working with suppliers globally from manufacturing hubs such as Thailand and China to ensure production part tooling is properly identified and accounted for in online databases. Final objective is to have suppliers invoice Holden for their tooling successfully in a timely manner through continuous and calculated feedback and framework provided by myself. Achievements and Recognitions:- Assisting with the implementation of a cost recovery process with our supplier base that resulted in raising debit notes against local and international suppliers with direct implications on the company’s bottom line.- Departmental acknowledgement for my five-week involvement in the correction of quality issues, process concerns and production quantities regarding a cast aluminium part.- One of a select number of employees to be invited to participate in a brainstorming event to come up with innovative ideas to assist the company through it’s transition into a National Sales Company.- Assisting a Supplier Quality Engineer with the development of a monthly quality update to be presented in a global forum.
