A new role I requested to be more involved in building the software I was passionate about. This position would see me less involved in the top level leadership decision making and closer to the software and to the team I had recruited over the years. A very varied role exposing me to all the products the company offered and many different technologies too. I was initially involved in a legacy WebForms app which was being used by hospitals and research centres in the UK. Australia and New Zealand. I was then asked to work on a new Learning Management System that was outsourced to a company which specialised in UX. This advanced my front end skills and was good exposure to working with external teams. Finally I was made part of a small development team along with a system architect and a senior developer to build a new SaaS offereing in the research ethics market.- Continuously engaged with the business and reference customers to ensure we met all requirements.- Diagnosed and remediated bugs, ensuring application stability and user satisfaction.- Executed manual system releases, ensuring smooth deployment and transition.- Took an active role in all agile ceremonies (Scrum and Kanban) creating transparency for the various teams.- Actively participated in code review sessions, contributing to, and benefiting from team insights

I was made responsible for developing a program in VBA for the IT department during my internship at The Royal Bank of Scotland.The program was intended for collating data from the overnight builds and the bug tracking for all the teams in the department. It would then create graphs and other visual aids to be inserted into one report which could run at any time.It proved to be a worthwhile spell at the company mostly for the discovery of how large international banks function on a daily basis in the IT industry.Skills involved: Visual Basic, VBA, Excel, SQL

Swansea University provided me with an amalgam of different modules in both subjects to choose from during my 4 year course in Computer Science with French. The modules taken for Computer Science included subjects like Programming with Java, Data Structures, Network Design, Operating systems, web development with C#, User Interaction Design. These provided me with a strong basis for all areas of computing to be developed and built upon in the working environment.The modules on the French side included The History of the French Language, Grammatical Language and The use of the French Language in Technology. These combined with the spending of my third year abroad in Paris enabled me to hone my skills at speaking in a foreign language and at the same time continue one of my passions.
