My current work seeks to elucidate the CD4 T cell and B cell immunology underlying successful vaccines and protective immune responses and apply those principles and mechanisms to the development of future vaccines for HIV. Additionally, better understand adaptive immune responses to pathogens, such as SARS-CoV-2.

My PhD work sought to understand the mechanistic interplay between B cells, Th17 cells, and follicular T helper (TFH) cells during Central Nervous System (CNS) autoimmune disease. This project characterized and assessed the role of TFH cells and BCL6 in a Th17-induced mouse model of Multiple Sclerosis.
