One of five Junior Officers selected to represent the U.S. Navy on Capitol Hill in the Navy's Office of Legislative Affairs for the U.S. House of Representatives. Directly communicates with Members of Congress and their staffs to increase knowledge of Naval assets and equities throughout the U.S. and abroad. Responsible for managing preparation and implementation of Congressional and Staff Delegations to DoD and Navy installations and highlighting the importance of the Naval Service with regard to the U.S. Strategic Presence around the globe.

Assigned to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron THIRTY (VRC-30) onboard NAS North Island from August 2014 – August 2017. While based with the Home-Guard component, he managed 30 sailors responsible for the upkeep of the oldest hangar on Naval Air Station North Island. After only three months aboard he was selected to become the Scheduling Officer, directly responsible for the planning and execution of Carrier Onboard Delivery Operations to all Aircraft Carriers (CVN) on the West Coast, as well as managing the rigorous training and upgrade syllabus for all 80 Pilots and Naval Aircrew. As Avionics Division Officer, he managed 45 sailors in the daily maintenance and upkeep of the Navy’s oldest Carrier-Aircraft, and, as Program Manager for the squadron’s Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) was directly responsible to the Commanding Officer for all Classified equipment owned by VRC-30. Deployed aboard the USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70) with Carrier Air Wing TWO (CVW-2) in support of WESTPAC 2017. As Operations Officer, directly planned and executed eight Forward Logistics Sites (FLS) and a $1,500,000 budget to provide continuous support to the 5,000 sailors aboard CVN-70 and CVW-2 during a deployment extension that ensured a vital U.S. presence with a Carrier Strike Group in the Korean waters. Deployed aboard the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73) with Carrier Air Wing TWO (CVW-2) in support of UNITAS PAC/LANT 2015 exercise. As Administrative Officer, managed the creation and execution of an $800,000 budget for three months, and ensured all diplomatic clearances and Visas were complete for 44 sailors. Completed Fleet Replacement Training to fly the C-2A Greyhound at Carrier Airborne Command and Control Squadron ONE TWO ZERO (VAW-120) at NAS Norfolk. As the assistant scheduling officer, he managed all daily flights, simulators, and classroom events for all Naval Aviators, Flight Officers, sailors and maintainers at the Navy’s second largest squadron (over 700 people).

Assigned to Training Squadron THIRTY ONE (VT-31) at NAS Corpus Christi to complete training in the T-44A Pegasus. Focus on asymmetric thrust and crew resource management in preparation to fly in the fleet. Earned Wings of Gold in February of 2013.Assigned to Training Squadron SEVEN (VT-7) at NAS Meridian to fly the T-45C Goshawk jet aircraft. Successfully Carrier Qualified on USS Truman (CVN-75) in September of 2012.Assigned to Training Squadron TWO (VT-2) learning to fly the T-34C Turbo-Mentor at Naval Air Station Whiting Field. Upon completion of training was selected for Tail Hook aviation and reported to Naval Air Station Meridian.Completed Aviation Preflight Indoctrination (API) at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola. Training included four weeks of intensive academics with water survival training and two weeks of aviation specific survival training.

Assisted personal scheduler in maintaining and updating the Senator’s schedule. Supported legislative staff by researching topics for current and future legislation. Responded to constituent mail and requests, and gave tours of the United States Capitol.

Safely operated and maintained four 22-foot launches as a ferry service for members to reach the Yacht Club. Helped oversee staff of 12 launch operators.
