Ubiquisys was acquired by Cisco to form the Small Cell Technology Group and supported system test function as it was moved offshore.Part of the pioneering team who introduced Agile (scrum) methodology to the wider development group.Worked within scrum teams on both LTE and 3G small cell products to deliver required feature set in the minimum time. Implemented and was responsible for the continuous automation using C# with an in-house test framework and Jenkins orchestration.Modelled, implemented and automated RF load and performance tests with real UEs and the TM500 UE test solution. Subject matter expert for Cobham's TM500 test solution.Worked closely with offshore system test team, new product introduction and the customer to prioritise issues and resolve swiftly.Moved to new product introduction team in the final 6 months with Cisco working on the SpiderCloud/8K small cell offering and a virtualised core network on a standard Cisco UCS platform with VMWare products. Lead the process to deliver this UCS platform to the customer with a significant amount of the virtual core config already applied in the factory by supply chain, thus reducing installation time in customer labs.Significant exposure to vitualisation, security and IP networking during my time at Cisco.

UbiquiSys Ltd was a start up that invented, prototyped and commercialised the Femtocell or small cell concept.Key member of the system test group, working closely with system engineering and development to take the product from early prototype to commercial grade and deployment with customers.Responsible for;Test planning and execution for multiple complex features in radio, core network, IP, OAM, performance, security and stability domains.Partner integration with Motorola and NEC.Product acceptance testing with partners and customersCustomer support, fault analysis, KPI analysis, RF optimisation and issue resolution of deployed product.Also fulfilled an role as a trials/IOT engineer, working on various trials activities with operators directly supporting the CEO and company founders.

In my 8 years at Lucent Technologies, I started as a Graduate engineer working on the GSM offer.I then spent 9 months as part of the team that developed and released the GPRS addition to Lucent's GSM offering, before moving onto the UMTS development effort.I worked with the Lucent UMTS system for 6 years, initially as Network Element Test focusing on RNC validiation using Catapult DCT2000 to emulate other network elements as required.My final role with the company was as a senior Development Field Support engineer, directly supporting tier 2 and the various customers with critical field problems, often on site with customers as the subject matter expert.
