For 8 years, I worked at my family's IT business in Harlow, where we helped local people and businesses with all their computing needs. We specialised in computer repairs and offered a pickup, repair, and drop-off service which was popular with our 3500 clients since 1996.From the age of 18, I discovered my love for all things tech and business. I started as an IT Consultant which involved repairing desktops, laptops, and advising clients. Even at this age, I was helping my parents with the accounting and gaining an understanding of how small businesses work. As time went on, I worked my way up in the business taking on more complex projects such as web development, and server installation and management. I soon wanted more responsibilities and took to digital design, branding, and other marketing activities, as well as managing our staff.And at age 24, I was appointed the role of Director at Brilliant IT and became a 50% shareholder of my parent's company. This was a big step for me as I shifted my focus to the company's business strategy, sales growth, product catalogue, and product development. It goes without saying that my 8 years at Brilliant IT were foundational to my future successes.As I moved into the latter half of my 20s, I felt keen to dive into the business world further by offering managed IT services to other local companies exclusively. And so, it was time for me to take my own path with Kyte IT.
