I am a control engineer (M.Sc.) with a Ph.D. in robotics and ten years of professional experience solving difficult robotics control problems across different industries and organization sizes, ranging from startups to large, government-funded research institutions.Currently, I am responsible for developing control systems for telecommunication lasers tracking at Transcelestial Technologies. Previously, I helped another Singapore-based startup develop the world’s first AI-powered robotic solution for aviation cargo packaging. Before that, with European Space Agency, I have developed control systems and designed advanced human-robot cooperation interfaces for three teleoperation space flight experiments performed by astronauts from onboard the International Space Station.I have extensive experience using commercial off-the-shelf robots and leveraging modern system and software design approaches to develop complex robotic systems, reducing the development time while keeping the focus on business needs, system quality, maintainability, and safety.I am always looking for a new problem to solve, so if you have an extraordinary technical challenge you need a hand with, feel free to contact me directly at smisek.jan@gmail.com
