OwnerStine, Llc Aug 1997 - PresentMy husband, Gil, and I plan the utilization and improvement of 3680 acres of rangeland and some cropland. We have implemented rotational grazing and have increase the carrying capacity of the ranch. Currently, we manage a 600 head red Angus cowherd. Our grassfed packaged beef is marketed through the local healthfood store and to individuals who value a healthier beef product. We sell feeder steers to other grassfed producers and to commercial feedlots. Our bred heifers and cows generally are sold to both the commercial and the grassfed markets. We are now doing DNA testing on our breeding stock in order to maximize the specific traits that we desire in our grassfed meat. Tenderness and marbling are two of the traits that we want to select for in our animals. We believe this will result in a better, more pleasurable eating experience and an increased productivity for our customers in the commercial beef business.

Vice PresidentDust Free, Inc. 1981 - 1997Most of my responsibilities at Dust Free were to assist Gil in managing the sales representatives in the HVAC market, training sales personnel, writing literature, producing sales videos, planning conventions, and promoting sales to the medical market. Gil invented the products we sold and together we built the company. Our son, Gregg, came into the business when he completed his college degree. He currently runs the business as we are working full-time on the ranch.
