Positive portrayals of minority women are still too few and far between, so this project’s goal is to shed light on this underrepresented group and motivate young women of color to pursue careers they’re passionate about.The series is titled The DMV Diamond Project because diamonds are both stunning and strong- just like the work these women do every day in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area.
