I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher on the CUSTOMISE (Comparing and Understanding Tailoring Methods for Implementation Strategies) project in the Health Implementation Research Hub at the School of Public Health, University College Cork. In this role I led the evaluation of the tailoring approach for a national study developing tailored strategies to enhance the implementation of Dose Adjustment for Normal Eating (DAFNE), a patient education programme for people living with type 1 diabetes. I also led a scoping review to characterise the processes and outcomes of tailoring in healthcare and worked on an update of a Cochrane review on tailored interventions to address determinants of professional practice.

I have delivered a number of guest lectures to Psychology students and other undergraduate groups. I delivered lectures on 'Research Ethics' and 'Health Behaviour' to Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy students, and a lecture on 'Health Monitoring Technology' to Psychology students (PS4100).

I delivered research methods tutorials to BA in Psychology students (PS219), systematic review support tutorials to the MSc in Health Psychology class (PS6137) and provided one-to-one statistical analysis support to the MSc in Health Psychology class in completing their dissertations.

I was a teaching assistant for BA in Psychology, Advanced Research Methods (PS405) SPSS labs. This involved providing in-class support to students with course material and correcting end-of-semester exams. Additionally, I was a teaching assistant for BA in Psychology, Experimental Workshop 1 (PS412) labs. This involved providing in class support to students with course material, facilitating journal clubs and correcting coursework. Finally, I facilitated journal clubs for BA in Psychology, Brain & Animal Behaviour (PS3102) class.

I have provided co-supervision to postgraduate students conducting dissertations and systematic reviews.

I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher on the Scaling EUROpean citizen driven transferable and transformative digital health (SEURO) EU Horizon 2020 project. In SEURO, I led the ‘Optimisation for Sustainability and Scalability’ work package. As part of this, I developed a digital checklist of the key actions that require consideration when designing, developing, evaluating and commercialising a digital health behaviour change intervention. This incorporates actions from user design, behaviour change, service integration, evaluation and business and economics. I also played a key role in the project co-ordination team to ensure adherence to organisational, national and EU level legislation relevant to digital and health research, e.g. GDPR, EU Medical Device Regulation, intellectual property.

I assisted with data collection for the ‘Moving On’ project funded by the Irish Cancer Society. This investigated the impact of a personalised self-management lifestyle programme using mobile technology, on the health and wellbeing of cancer survivors.

As part of the Summer Research Scholarship I received from the School of Psychology, I worked on a systematic review and network meta-analysis; ‘Comparing the effectiveness of behaviour change interventions versus new medical treatments: Movement and medicine?’. My role involved assisting with the search strategy, translating the search strategy for different databases, conducting the search and title and abstract screening.
