Dr. Jane Webber is a national counseling leader, trainer, and author. She has advocated for disaster and trauma training for counselors since September 11th when she served as Chair of the American Counseling Association Foundation. Dr. Webber is also an advocate for school counselors and has co-led the New Jersey School Counseling Initiative for the past 25 years. She is a New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor, Disaster Response Crisis Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Dr. Webber is an appointed member of the ACA Task Force for Crisis Response Planning and served on the Advisory Committee for Emergency Preparedness for the 2009 CACREP Standards. She is Distance Counseling Commission Chair for the American Association for State Counseling Boards.Dr. Webber has written numerous articles and chapters on disaster mental health, trauma counseling, sand tray therapy, school and career counseling, and college admission counseling. She co-edited the ACA Foundation publication, Terrorism, Trauma, and Tragedies: A Counselor’s Guide to Preparing and Responding in its third edition, and The New Jersey School Counseling Initiative: A Framework for Developing Your Comprehensive School Counseling Program in its second edition. Her leadership positions include: Chair of the ACA Foundation, North Atlantic Region, International Committee, Human Rights Committee, and Public Awareness and Support Committee. She is a former president of the New Jersey Counseling Association receiving its highest award, the Charles Tabler Distinguished Professional Service Award. and the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling also receiving its highest award, the Robert Biunno Award for Loyalty, Dedication and Extraordinary Service.She has taught graduate counseling students at New Jersey City University, Seton Hall University, and Monmouth University and worked as a school counselor and supervisor and college counselor.
