HSE Lead/CoordinationI am a HSE Lead or Coordinator on a number of joint venture projects and for individual organizations. The result is extensive experience working within a corporation’s safety program to ensure participation of all stakeholders through orientations, safe work plans, procedures, inspections, audits and statistical evaluation. I have experience providing support and assistance to managers, supervisors and field workers on how to apply a project or organizations safety plan in an effective manner. Safe Work Plan DevelopmentI created Safe Work Plans for various projects that address the requirements of the contractor and client HSE programs while taking into consideration all project requirements, pre-access information, emergency response plans, lines of communication, and connecting documentation. These Safe Work Plans have ensured that all projects effectively and efficiently meet all health and safety requirements as outlined by the contractor, the client and all appropriate regulatory bodies.

Project and Corporate Health and Safety Lead within Amec Foster Wheeler, Environment and Infrastructure. Responsibilities include: • Training and development for safety staff in the Occupational Health and Safety Group • Project Safety Lead for major projects in Amec Foster Wheeler Environment and Infrastructure. REPRESENATIVE PROJECTSEnbridge; Northern Gateway Pipelines Project (ongoing) – HSE Coordinator •Provide direction and updating to the Technical Studies Phase Northern Gateway Pipelines Project Safety Plan and the Technical Studies Phase Northern Gateway Pipelines Project Field Handbook. Additionally provide orientations to field workers.•Ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation and conformance with Enbridge corporate safety initiatives, adapting to safety considerations for the specific technical studies programs operations and bringing alignment between various contractor companies and Enbridge standards.•First point of contact for contractors and field level workers to provide support, direction and leadership in the implementation the safety program. •Respond to safety requests, create and provide Sites Specific Safe Work Plans for semi-permanent work locations, gather and analyze safety data and respond to any incidents. •Perform inspections, investigations and audits. Various Large Oil Sands Projects – HSE Coordinator (ongoing)•Creation and maintenance of the Safe Work Plan combining client and contractor safe work practices and policies with current applicable legislation and industry best practices•Gathering and analyzing safety data collected from all contractor personnel involved in the project•Crew orientation and preparation, access planning, health and safety support, follow-up reporting, and performed audits on both field crews and the overall project. •Site Inspections and AuditsOccupational Hygiene Work – Various Sites •Determine the locations and quantities of various hazardous building materials such as asbestos-containing materials, lead-based substances, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and develop recommendations for handling and estimated removal budgets for the materials encountered throughout the assessments. •Consulting and analytical services while overseeing asbestos abatement projects.

Direction of Environmental Health and Safety regulations for in-office and off-site employees, including maintenance and review of insurance claims, liaising with Workers Compensation Board and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety laws and regulations in three provinces. Revised and implemented a safety program that complies with Alberta’s C.O.R. program. Performed all internal audits for the C.O.R. program.
