I have worked in training and development for my whole career. I have worked for Skillgate Learning Centres since July 2001 in a range of capacities, but most recently as their Senior Learning Consultant. This role involves working with clients across all the full life-cycle of projects, determining their requirements, and creating learning solutions that meet these needs. Key elements of my role are:• Designing relevant, business related training courses and materials such as session plans, session outlines, training manuals, training scenarios and assessments• Learning client software and business processes and integrating these into learning programs• Facilitating and delivering a wide range of trainingMy role involves both delivering training and providing consultancy and help desk support in the all of the Microsoft Office Professional software packages, including VBA in Word, Excel and Access from their early versions to Office 365 and the desktop and online versions of Office 2016. I am proficient at learning new systems quickly and thoroughly, and developing appropriate training incorporating the client’s business processes. Some of the systems that I have developed and delivered training for include:• ESCAD, a Vision based customised software solution for Tasmania Police, Ambulance Tasmania and Tasmanian Fire Service.• CRIS (Client Relationship Information System) for Disability Services, Child Protection and Youth Justice – Department of Health and Human Services• Worldox for Williams Winter law firm• The Opening Doors program for non-government agencies dealing with homeless people I have used a number of different single source authoring products to produce paper-based materials, online help and online learning materials. My experience as treasurer for various community organisations, has meant that I have used a variety of accounting packages including MYOB, QuickBooks and Reckon Online.
