Reported on international trade policy for the biweekly, an offshoot of the established weekly, Inside U.S. Trade, produced by Inside Washington Publishers, a longtime publishing house specializing in investigative reporting. • Reported for a biweekly, Inside NAFTA, which focused on trade policy developments between the United States, Mexico and Canada. • Developed sources on Capitol Hill, in the private sector, with embassy officials and advocacy leaders in the areas of human rights, labor and the environment. • Participated on panels about trade policy at Columbia University, New York, and Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Santiago, Chile.

• Edited copy on print and broadcast desks for Associated Press major wire service for distribution to its state and regional member newspapers and broadcast outlets. • Conceived of, researched and wrote lengthy feature article – selected by the A.P. regional headquarters for national distribution – about the relationships between domestic workers in the South and the families for whom they worked. • Coordinated copy for editors on special A.P. desks in New York in the areas of publishing and culture.
