I reckon that as a child I had the most educated set of toys. Why? Because great chunks of my playtime involved arranging various dolls, teddies & my favourite gonk, Stephen (if you don’t know what a gonk is, you weren’t watching Playschool in the 60s!) into well-ordered rows so that “Miss” – complete with improvised blackboard that involved wallpaper offcuts – could teach them something. By the end of a class with me, my toys were going to be better in some way, shape or form. Fast-forward a few years, & guess what – helping people (rather than toys) to be the best version of themselves is still what drives me.My particular focus is on helping people discover why they behave in certain ways & whether their intent – the effect they meant to have on other people & situations – matches their impact, their actual effect (sometimes they don’t!). I’m regularly told by those I work with (clients, colleagues, friends!) that I am challenging & supportive. Knowing how to balance the two comes from over 35 years of experience & ongoing self-development.I’m hard-working – focussed on achieving excellence in all I do. I’ve been told I “ooze integrity" which I translate as meaning I’m honest & reliable. So, if you’re working with me, you’ll get “what it says on the tin", in the knowledge that I want to help you to be the best you, you can be. You’ll also get heaps of enthusiasm, oomph & endless tales about motorbikes & motorbike racing if you’re not careful! My lovely Mum never quite understood what I did for a living & was known to ask “… tell me - what is it you do …?”. Good question. Answer? I help people to change their lives by improving their personal impact when communicating. And that’s both a privilege & a pleasure!
