From an early age I was always passionate about two things: drama and coaching. As a child I used to help my baby brother, Nick (now in his 40’s!!!), to run faster, kick the ball better and bowl the ball straighter. I was also in every school play and used to be that irritating boy in your class who would always put their hand up when teacher wanted a volunteer to read something out loud. How lucky I am then to now be doing a job that involves both of my passions!I coach people and organisations to communicate with excellence in any situation and I use all my drama experience gleaned from my training at LAMDA and my years at The Royal Shakespeare Company to do it in a way that “exceeds all my expectations and then some” as a lovely client put it the other day. I am truly a people-person with, as one friend puts it these days, “irritating amounts of boundless energy” who loves to interact with people, loves to make them laugh and loves to make a positive and lasting difference to all the people I work with. My colleagues say that I have an innate understanding of what makes a person tick and what they need to do to be able to project the best version of themselves. I have now been doing this job for 23 years but I can honestly say that it doesn't feel like I've done a proper days work in all that time. When you are doing something that you love, it doesn't FEEL like work. And I love coaching!! I am proud to have helped build Speak The Speech from nothing to where it is today - one of the most respected, revered and admired communication companies in the world.
