I am an agricultural specialist interested in researching, developing, and promoting the adoption of new and improved sustainable management practices on farms in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. I am interested in having active roles in scientific, extension, and outreach activities to spur the adoption of practices such as reduced tillage, mulching/cover cropping, and organic amendments (i.e. biochar, manure) to increase the long-term efficiency of local farm operations while decreasing the need for irrigation, fertilizer application, and other expenses that reduce the profitability of farming.
